Bearing the name of a Roman favourite son, Marcus Atilius Regulus – general and consul of the Roman Republic in 267BC, the Atilius Wine range is making its own waves across the Asia Pacific region, and will soon be available in Australia – having already conquered Hong Kong.
Atilius is a collection of the most celebrated Italian still and sparkling wine expressions, from captivating reds; Chianti DOCG and Super Tuscan, to exceptional sparklings; Brut, Moscato and the finest of all Asolo Prosecco DOCG. Over the past three years, Milestone Beverages’ Joe Milner, has been developing the wines in the Hong Kong and Asia Pacific markets, resulting in Atilius becoming one of Hong Kong’s best selling Italian wines, alongside Ruffino and Antinori.
Inspired by la dolce vita (the sweet life), founder Joe Milner wanted a wine that “quite simply captures the Italian life-loving spirit, their infectious passion for food and wine, fine balance of style, and unrestrained hospitality”.
Atilius Prestigio, the Chianti Riserva DOCG, displays a firm character and velvety tannins, and Atilius Ribelle, the Super Tuscan, cleverly balances a full body with elegant spices. Both are rated by James Suckling at 91 points.
Atilius Superiore is a stunning Prosecco DOCG, from centuries-old town Asolo, gathering fanatics around the globe for its fresh and fine perlage.
Atilius’ award-winning portfolio of eight wines will be available in Australia soon. As soon as we know stockist information we will post.
