This morning, Penfolds launched The Penfolds Collection 2024, a collection of 25 wines headlined by Grange 2020. In addition to this, it has also released a one-off Bin 180 Coonawarra Cabernet Shiraz 2021 to commemorate its 180th anniversary milestone.
“Our Penfolds Collection 2024 is testament to eighteen decades of innovation and invention, hard work, trials, mistakes… and the honing of a Penfolds House Style,” said Peter Gago, Chief Winemaker.
“We have a dedicated team working across the globe, covering viticultural regions in two hemispheres, allowing us to deliver an increasingly diverse and consistently excellent collection of wines each year.”

To commemorate Penfolds’ 180 year milestone and the release of the Bin 180, Penfolds has commissioned South Australian artisan Andrew Bartlett to design a commemorative wooden case art piece from staves of Penfolds French oak barrels to enclose the 3L jeroboam Bin 180 wines.
“Our goal was to craft a landmark wine to acknowledge Penfolds 180th Anniversary… Compellingly – the lure of outstanding parcels in barrel availed from the stellar 2021 Coonawarra harvest,” said Peter Gago.
