The Explore Whisky Club has today announced it is launching in time for Christmas. The club has partnered with Explore WHISKY magazine to bring its first exclusive offer to the Australian market – the new release GlenDronach Batch 7. Cask Strength Highland Single Malt.
To become a member and access the exclusive offers, whisky lovers should go to www.explorewhiskyclub.com.au and check out the options of either membership or once-off gifting.
The team at Explore Whisky travel the world tasting the best whisky, looking for special and rare releases from the finest distillers and bring the best back to the members of the Explore Whisky Club. Following the recent launch of the GlenDronach Revival in Scotland, we learnt of the GlenDronach Batch 7. Cask Strength Highland Single Malt and snapped up the pre-release allocation for Australia.
Whisky connoisseurs will know GlenDronach whiskies for some of the most sort after special releases such as the annual Cask Strength release. Batch number 7 has now landed on Australian shores and is ready for the members of www.explorewhiskyclub.com.au. The Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky is matured in the finest Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks and presented at cask strength. A recent winner at the 2018 San Francisco World Spirits Competition, the expression continues a tradition of crafting and releasing batches of The GlenDronach at cask strength each year.
It is a robust, elegant, and full-bodied single malt that has been bottled without the addition of water or chill filtration, coming in at 57.9% abv and, as is the case for all GlenDronach whiskies, has absorbed its colour naturally from the Spanish oak sherry casks.
“The GlenDronach Cask Strength Batch 7 is rich in the rewards of slow, mellow and complex sherry cask maturation in the earthen-floored dunnage warehouses at GlenDronach; the rewards being a sublime aroma, rounded taste, full body and long-lasting finish. With a cask selection spanning Summer, Autumn and Winter distillation at GlenDronach, the resulting marriage delivers a malt with a strong heart, complex taste and smooth, mellow maturity, belying it’s 57.9% cask strength,” said Rachel Barrie, master blender at The GlenDronach.
Colour: Deep bronze
Nose: Cherry brandy and chocolate with blackberry vines, wild figs and Highland Toffee

The pre-release whisky is available in very limited numbers (150 bottles only) and only to members of www.explorewhiskyclub.com.au. O
