Negroni Week is one of our favourite weeks of the year. Not only because it highlights one of the best cocktails in the world (big fan here) but because brands like Four Pillars create great releases like their bottled Negroni.
In celebration of this year’s festival (24th – 30th June) and 100 Years of the Negroni, Four Pillars bottled Negronis will be available at four Negroni pop-ups in NSW, VIC, QLD and WA. The bottles will be available over the bar, take away individual bottles or four-packs to sip at home.
The venues are:
• VIC: Garden State Hotel, Flinders Lane
• NSW: The Dolphin Hotel, Crown Street, Surry Hills
• QLD: Cru Bar + Cellar, James Street, Fortitude Valley
• WA: Tiny’s, QV1 Plaza, Perth
If you can’t get to the above venues, the bottled Negronis will be available direct from Four Pillars Distillery in Healesville and on the Four Pillars website from Tuesday, 25 June.
Behind the creation is Four Pillars Creative Director of Drinks James Irvine, who drew inspiration from the different ecosystems in Australia. Here is what is in the range: –
A herbaceous Negroni based on our Rare Dry Gin, inspired by the contrasts of Australia’s river systems and woodlands – we’ve even snuck in some ‘orange’ wine and moss. Made with Rare Dry Gin, Campari, paperbark smoked rosella, ‘orange wine’, pine needle and moss this Negroni is ready for you to pour over ice and garnish with orange zest.
A vibrant and textural Negroni based on our Underground Sydney Gin combined with coastal flavours including samphire and brine. A Negroni by the sea. Using our limited-edition Underground Sydney Gin, Italicus, Suze, samphire, seablite and saltbush this Negroni just needs to be poured over ice and served with lemon.
A Negroni for brunch? Why not? A Negroni inspired by the great cities of Australia. A tip of the hat to coffee and cocktails, based on our Spiced Negroni Gin with some roasted coffee and toasted bread flavours. Combining Spiced Negroni Gin, Campari, coffee bean and burnt toast this Negroni is ready to serve over ice with orange zest.
A bright, bold and distinct Negroni based on our Bloody Shiraz Gin with inspiration drawn from the deserts of Australia. Indigenous blood limes and smoke add texture and aroma. This Negroni brings together Bloody Shiraz Gin, Campari, charred blood plum and desert lime, to enjoy it just pour over ice and garnish with lemon.
A single 200mL Negroni is RRP $28.00 and the 4x200mL four-pack is RRP $100.00. During Negroni Week, one dollar from every Negroni and Negroni four-pack sold at the Four Pillars distillery and from the Four Pillars website will go to OzHarvest. Partnering venues will be supporting charities of their choice.
