Four Pillars’ Olive Leaf Gin has recently been named Best of Category – International Signature Botanical Gin at the prestigious 2024 American Distilling Institute (ADI) International Spirits Competition. Olive Leaf was also awarded a Double Gold Medal in the process.
The first savoury gin in the Four Pillars portfolio and the product of a five year production process, Olive Leaf has been rapidly growing in popularity in the US as gin Martinis continue to gain traction.
The super-premium gin category – the category that Four Pillars falls into, grew by 16% in the US throughout last year alone, according to DISCUS data. This is expected to continue, with IWSR expecting craft gin to grow at a CAGR of +23% up to 2025.
Four Pillars’ Olive Leaf Gin is made from botanicals including juniper, coriander seed, rosemary, bay leaf and lemon myrtle, along with macadamias, lemon, grapefruit, olive leaf and extra virgin olive oil sourced from Victoria’s Cobram Estate.
“I’ve always loved a savoury-style gin so making Olive Leaf was a no-brainer,” said Cameron Mackenzie, Head Distiller.
“The fact that a gin Martini is my desert island drink pretty much sealed the deal.
Four Pillars has also just kicked off its Martini Collective, an initiative that will see it partner with some of Sydney and Melbourne’s top restaurants to serve up a signature aperitif-style Four
Pillars Olive Leaf Gin Mini Martini alongside snack pairings throughout the month of May.
