Four twists on the Margarita cocktail you need to try

Friday afternoon drinks calls for a Tequila cocktail, and we can never go past Casamigos. The award-winning, ultra-premium tequila founded by George Clooney, Rande Gerber and Mike Meldman, was created by following their thirst to enjoy the smoothest, best-tasting premium tequila.

Instead of mixing up the traditional Margarita cocktail, the following recipes are a twist on the classic. They’re simple and fun to make and a great way to kick off the weekend. PINEAPPLE CILANTRO MARGARITA

Glassware: Rocks
Garnish: Pineapple leaves

Ingredients:
60ml Casamigos Reposado Tequila
30ml Pineapple Juice
15ml Fresh Lime Juice
15ml Simple Syrup
8-10 Coriander Leaves
1cm Rim Sugar/Coriander Salt

Method: Combine all ingredients into a tin shaker. Add ice. Shake vigorously for 4-6 seconds. Strain into rocks glass. Add 1 large ice cube.

PRICKLY PEAR MARGARITA

Glassware: Rocks
Garnish: Pear slice
Ingredients:
60ml Casamigos Blanco
30ml Fresh Lemon Juice
15ml Prickly Pear Puree
15ml Simple Syrup
2 x Dash Orange Bitters

Method: Combine all ingredients into a tin shaker. Add ice, shake vigorously and fine strain into rocks glass. Add ice and garnish.

CAYENNADE MARGARITA

Glassware: Rocks
Garnish: Lemon wheel on a skewer with Cayenne salt sprinkle over the top.
Ingredients:
60ml Casamigos Blanco Tequila
45ml Fresh Lime Juice
15ml Agave Nectar
1 x Serrano Slice
Top off with Cayennade by GT’s Kombucha

Method: Combine all ingredients, except kombucha into tin shaker. Muddle serrano, add ice, shake vigorously, and fine strain into rocks glass. Add fresh ice, top off with GT’s Cayennade Kombucha.

SMOKY CASA MARGARITA

Glassware: Rocks
Garnish: A flamed orange peel. Ingredients:
60ml Casamigos Mezcal
30ml Fresh Lime Juice
25ml Agave Nectar
2 x Dash Orange Bitters

Method: Combine all ingredients into tin shaker then add ice and shake well. Strain into a rocks glass and add fresh ice.
