Is it a bird? Is it a plane? It’s a 40-meter-long cucumber…

Hovering above Sydney’s harbour for the next couple of days (March 21st – 23rd) will be the worlds largest cucumber. The 40-meter-long, 8-meter-high and 25-meter-wide cumber blimp will be occupying the skies for a special reason.

It will be kicking of Henrick’s launch of the ‘Cucumber Currency’. This launch is a dedicated gin exchange platform with a humorous and adventurous twist. Consumers can collect a cucumber from an exchange booth in Darling Harbour that will act as ‘Cucumber Currency’ at participating venues for a free Hendrick’s gin and tonic.

Hendrick's Gin Australian Cucumber

Morgan Flanagan, Hendricks Gin Brand Ambassador, said, “It’s not a Hendrick’s Gin affair without the extraordinary. We have gone above and beyond to bring Sydneysiders a spectacle from the sea to the street in an unlikely curious style.”

“Adding whimsy and wonder is what we do. We hope Sydneysiders will join our celebration of the humble green and raise a glass.”

After collecting your cucumber from the ‘Hendrick’s Cucumber Bar’ (that will be opposite Home Nightclub in Darling Harbour) you can swap the legendary veg for your free tipple at these venues:
