Lose Yourself in Good Food and Great Music

Sydney’s premier art, music and food event is returning to the Domain this spring, bringing together a talented line-up of Australian artists with a tasty array of treats whipped up by some of the city’s best restaurants.

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the release of Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club and to celebrate Lost Picnic have invited Fat Freddy’s Drop, one of the world’s best live bands to headline the event, along with The Beatle Boys who will be playing alongside the Australian Symphony Orchestra.

There will be sets from 2016 ARIA award-winner Montaigne, singer/songwriter Sarah Blasko, The Teskey Brothers and alt-folk band All Our Exes Live in Texes.

Before you lay down that picnic rug to reserve yourself the best seat in the house, be sure to pick yourself up a selection of the delights on offer or a gourmet hamper from some of Sydney’s top restaurants.

Tel Aviv Issue, the popular pop-up, will be serving up the latest in Middle Eastern cuisine from Jude Cohen of the popular grazing chain Grandma’s, and Mamak will be dishing up your Malaysian street food favourites. Surry Hills institution Chur Burger, who will be serving up a range of burgers including their notorious ‘Biggie Smalls’ and picnic starters such as bourbon-cured Tasmanian Salmon.

In the fine food category, Agape, Australia’s largest organic restaurant, will be delivering to patrons delicacies such as spit roasted biodynamic suckling pig and soft goats cheese with beetroot pickle and spelt emmental crispbreads. Woolloomooloo’s Puntino Trattoria will be presenting fresh homemade arancini balls, porchetta rolls and Mediterranean antipasto. Want to skip dinner and head straight for dessert? Chippendale’s KOI Dessert Truck will be there to satiate your need for sweet treats.

White Rabbit have come on board to ensure you’ve got a drink in hand to wash all that food down, serving up craft beers, boutique wine and cider.

Lost Picnic is an all ages event and performance artists will the roaming the grounds to keep you and the kids occupied between sets.
