Stoneleigh, a Marlborough wine brand, has just launched a new range of wines. ‘Stoneleigh Bright’ will have 25% less alcohol and is made using natural winemaking techniques that retain the flavour and quality of Marlborough, New Zealand, while having a low ABV of up to 9.5%.
Two wines included in the range are, Stoneleigh Bright Marlborough Pinot Gris 2018 and Stoneleigh Bright Marlborough Rosé 2018. Each wine captures fresh and bright flavours with variety, making them the perfect addition to summer catch-ups and dinners with friends.
“The stone-studded Stoneleigh vineyards in the sunny Marlborough climate make our vineyards an unspoiled corner of South Island New Zealand, where grapes develop bright, crisp flavours early in the season when their sugar content is relatively low,” said Jamie Marfell, Stoneleigh Chief Winemaker.
The Stoneleigh Bright range taps into a growing trend among consumers who want the benefits of a lower alcohol wine without compromising on taste. Achieving a lower ABV while retaining the distinctive, vibrant Stoneleigh style was the most important priority when Stoneleigh crafted these wines.
