The Margarita Kombi bar, brought to you by Cointreau, will be touring up and down the East Coast of Australia this autumn, with its first stop in Sydney. And while it may be pouring right now nothing seems to dampen Australian’s love of the margarita. You can track the van on this website with NSW venues including the likes of The Greens North Sydney, Camden Valley Inn and the Rosé by the Harbour Festival this weekend.
Then in May, the Cointreau Kombi will head south and land in Victoria, welcoming Melbournians to come and visit while trying the selection of food and drinks. To finish off the tour, the Cointreau Margarita Kombi bar will be travelling back north to the sunshine state (Queensland) from July. All locations will be announced via social media welcoming guests to experience the Cointreau Margarita Kombi bar in their state and tag themselves with their Margaritas using the hashtag #OnlywithCointreau.
You have the choice of three cocktails: the Original Margarita, a Spicy Margarita or a frozen Passionfruit Margarita, a twist on the classic Margarita recipe.
Melinda Essey, who has a passion for Central and South American cuisine has chosen the perfect accompaniment: a Chicken Taco with Tomatillo salsa, pickled red onion, slaw and lime crema, as well as a Chilli Black Bean Taco which includes chilli black beans, tomatillo salsa, pickled red onion and slaw for those wanting a vegetarian option, and of course the classic Guac and Tortilla Chips.
The menu items will be available in meal and drink packages with a $12 combination of a Margarita and guac & chips, $15 for a Margarita and taco of choice and $22 for those interested in a Margarita tasting box, featuring your taco of choice and guac & chips.
