From this Friday to Sunday, the Winemakers of Rutherglen in Victoria will transform one of Melbourne’s iconic laneways into a winter wine bar with fairy lights, wine barrels, Australian foliage, communal furniture and a mock cellar door.
Free to enter, members of the public can meet the winemakers and sample and learn about their wines, including two of Rutherglen’s best-known varietals, Durif and Muscat.
These will not only be available to try on their own but also in a variety of cocktails including Muscat Espresso Martinis – we want to try one of those!
The event is taking place on Driver Lane at The Strand Melbourne and will be open on Friday from 5pm-10; Saturday from 12pm-11pm; and Sunday from 12pm-6pm.
