Mornington Peninsula’s Pt. Leo Estate winery is the latest addition to the Ultimate Winery Experiences Australia collective, a hand-selected collection of the 29 Australian wineries in Australia that offer the most notable guest experiences.
Pt. Leo Estate, opened in 2017, has been picked as one of the best winery experiences due to a number of unique initiatives. Included amongst these are its two separate hatted dining venues, with Laura being two-hatted; its sculpture park, which is the largest privately-owned sculpture park in Aus; and its strikingly designed cellar door.
“The team at the Estate are passionate advocates for agritourism, and the wine, produce and scenery that make the Mornington Peninsula so special,” said Pt. Leo Estate’s General Manager Roger Lanica.
“We look forward to welcoming our guests and providing unique, insightful and memorable experiences for them,” he said.
Pt. Leo also includes other wine experiences such as its Vineyard and Wine Immersion vineyard tasting and tour and its single varietal Vintage Vertical exploration.
“Pt. Leo Estate is an outstanding winery with a diverse tourism offering, making it a destination in itself,” said Sarah Myers, Executive Officer at Ultimate Winery Experiences Australia.
“Two hatted restaurants, a sensational permanent sculpture park, and a curated range of elevated experiences that take guests beyond the cellar door; Pt. Leo Estate epitomises the definition of an Ultimate Winery and we’re thrilled to have them on board,” she said.
Pt. Leo Estate joins fellow Mornington Peninsula wineries Ten Minutes by Tractor and Montalto in the Ultimate Wine Experiences Australia Collective. Together, the three created a joint Mornington Masterclass experience, which includes a guided tasting of wines from all three of the region’s Ultimate Wineries, which are located just a few kilometres apart.
