With Valentine’s Day on our doorstep, explore DRINKS has put together some of our favourite cocktails you can whip up to impress that special someone. We’ve also kept in mind the fact that strawberries and chocolate are an aphrodisiac (…your welcome).

 

Strawberry White Chocolate Tipple

Strawberry White Chocolate Tipple

Ingredients:
60ml Mozart White Chocolate Cream Strawberry Liqueur
30ml Tia Maria Coffee Liqueur Liqueur

Method: Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously with ice. Strain into an elegant glass filled with cubes of ice.

Garnish: Strawberry slices and white chocolate pieces

Glass: Stemless wineglass

 

Rosė & Pink Grapefruit Spritz

Rosė & Pink Grapefruit Spritz


Ingredients:
90ml Rose wine
30ml Fresh pink grapefruit
30ml Cranberry juice
15ml Pink grapefruit syrup
60ml Soda Water

Method: Add all ingredients to a large stemless wine glass, add a large amount of ice and stir

Garnish: Slices of pink grapefruit and strawberries

Glass: Stemless wineglass

Ingredients:
50ml Johnnie Walker Gold Label
10ml Mozart Dark Chocolate Liqueur
15ml MONIN Macadamia Nut Syrup
30ml Fresh lemon juice
15ml Egg white

Method: Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker. Shake vigorously with ice and strain into a large crystal old fashioned glass

Garnish: Toasted macadamia nuts and a gold leaf foil covered chocolate egg

Glass: Old Fashioned

 

Cherry Blossom Sidecar

Cherry Blossom Sidecar

Ingredients:
30ml Martell VSOP Cognac
20ml Lillet Rose Aperitif
10ml Elderflower cordial
30ml Cherry juice
20ml Fresh lemon juice

Method: Shake with ice and strain into a coupette glass

Garnish: Morello pitted cherries on a cocktail stick and a small white flower

Sake Plum Spritz

Sake Plum Spritz


Ingredients:
90 mlDewazakura Saku Sparkling Junmai Sake
45ml Umeshu plum wine
30ml Pink Grapefruit Juice
30ml Soda Water

Method: Add to a tall glass, fill with ice and lightly stir

Garnish: Sliced plum and grapefruit

Glass: Tall glass

 

Chocolate & Salted Caramel Shaketail

Chocolate & Salted Caramel Shaketail

Ingredients:
30ml MONIN Salted Caramel Syrup
45ml Ron Zacapa 23-Year-Old Rum
45ml Milk
2 x Scoops of vanilla ice cream

Method: Add ingredients to an electric blender cup and blend until smooth.
Pour into a tall glass with chocolate sauce

Garnish: Salted caramel pieces

Glass: Tall glass
