Beer and Merch Fest

This Saturday, Beer Cartel is opening up its Artarmon warehouse to members of the public to come and scavenger through the mammoth collection of beer merchandise it has been collecting for 10 years! Think t-shirts, caps, books, and glassware and all of the money will go to Beyond Blue, supporting male depression and men’s cancer. There will also be plenty of beers on offer, plus a flaming Texan BBQ.

Craft Showdown: Pint of Origin

Foresters Pub & Dining and the Terminus Hotel are partnering to showcase the very best craft beers from across the country this weekend. Representatives in each state are putting their top beers forward for you to try and vote for your favourite. The organisers say it’s going to be a “Craft Showdown for the record books.” There will also be food specials, prizes and giveaways.

Cost: $35 per person

A Little Bit of Italy in Broke

Feel like you need another break already? Get to Broke Fordwich in the Hunter Valley this weekend to experience two days of the region’s premier wine and food. Make your way around 11 wineries that will be offering “A Little of Italy” at their cellar doors. Each will have its own Italian event, from a vineyard and olive grove tour to a gnocchi making master class. You can also pick up a Zafferano glass for $15 to use at every stop, $2.00 of which will go to the Singleton Cancer Appeal.

Canberra District Wine Week

Explore all that Canberra’s burgeoning wine region has to offer this weekend by joining its week-long wine festival packed with numerous wine tastings, dinners and themed events. Blend your own wine at Dog Trap Vineyard on Saturday for example, or get to an exclusive Grazing wine dinner at Gundog Estate.
