Grant’s Ale Cask Finish

Grant’s Ale Cask Finish

(40% ABV)

Grant’s Ale Cask is the only Scotch whisky to be finished in barrels that have previously held ale. Master Blender, Brian Kinsman, fills our casks with Edinburgh Strong Ale for 30 days then replaces it with aged Grant’s whisky. The blend then mellows for up to four months, picking up its unique crème brûlée creaminess and silky malt flavours. With a recent Gold at the 2012 Scotch Whisky Masters, Grant’s Ale Cask Finish is elegant with distinctive crème brulee creaminess and soft ripe summer fruits on the nose. Beautifully balanced on the palate with silky maltiness and honeyed vanilla, the finish is long and smooth with fresh fruit notes of pear and apple.

Grant’s 12 Year Old

Grant’s 12 Year Old

(40% ABV)

Warm and fruity with a hint of spice, Grant’s 12 Year Old is a masterful blend of only the finest single malt and grain whiskies, each matured in oak casks for a minimum of 12 years. The blend is then finished in first-fill, American whiskey casks for a further six months. This imparts on an extra flavour layer, resulting in a complex whisky where individual tastes fit together perfectly to create a full-bodied Scotch of exceptional richness. With complex and vibrant notes of vanilla, candied fruits and spicy aromatics. Deep vanilla sweetness is balanced with cinnamon bite on the palate. The key notes are hints of warm smoke and silky rich honey. For finish this well loved whisky is long and smooth with fresh fruit notes of pear and apple. “The malts blossom with sweeter balance; delicate wafer dissolving in the mouth; the oak arrives early but behaves impeccably; padded out further by teasing smoke.” Jim Murray, Jim Murray’s Whisky Bible 2007

Grant’s 25 Year Old Whisky

Grant’s 25 Year Old Whisky

(40% ABV)

Grant’s 25 Year Old contains 25 of the world’s most highly-prized and distinctive malt and grain whiskies from every region of Scotland, including the first ever laid down at Grant’s Girvan distillery as well as rare whiskies from some distilleries which are no longer in existence. Unhurried over time, each whisky has matured in old oak casks, carefully watched over by our master craftsmen and chosen only when each has reached its point of perfection. The whiskies are then married in oak casks for six months to give enhanced depth and complexity. The result is an exquisite final blend that captures the very essence of our dedication to craftsmanship. In the glass, it glints deep bronze, its character immediate on the nose with deft balanced notes of fragrant summer peach blossom and polished leather. On the palate, there is cinnamon and a touch of ginger bite along with a fresh and mellow sweetness, followed by a finish of rich spices that linger on the tongue. The acclaimed spirit has won “Best Blended Scotch” aged 19-25 years in Jim Murray’s 2012 and
2011 Whisky Bible.
