Love Tequila? Then you will love Esteban – the new Tequila and Mezcal bar, restaurant and taqueria that has taken up residence on York Street, in Sydney’s CDB.
Esteban is the second venue for Atticus Hospitality Group, who also opened the popular Paddington venue Tequila Mockingbird back in 2016. The group is co-owned by Group Director Michael Fegent, Executive Bar Manager Mark Crawford, and General Manager Luca Bielli. At the helm in the kitchen is Executive Group Chef, John Frid.
The basement venue houses the largest premium Tequila and mezcal collection in Australia, and the menu boasts an impressive 110 mezcals and 110 tequila varietals alongside ‘fun and fast’ cocktails.
Mark Crawford (Executive Bar Manager & Co-Owner), brings with him over 15+ years of experience and he and his team have curated a signature cocktail menu fastened with house-made infusions. After you’ve indulged on a cocktail, on offer is also premium Tequila flights or take your pick from their selection of New and Old-World wines.
On the food front, Charcoal-grilled meats and vegetables will be at the heart of the restaurants dining menu, honouring the craft of Mexicos culinary traditions with dishes such as Tacos al pastor. The street-food style menu will include all your favourites tacos, ceviche and tortas that will be available in the basement bar and alfresco seating area.
