Four Pillars’ has announced the details of its latest Whisky Barrel gin release made in collaboration with esteemed Tasmanian whisky producer, Lark Distillery.

Launching on April 23, the new gin is the first in a series of extremely limited collaborative releases that the two are currently working on. Release number one started life as a high-proof Rare Dry Gin that was aged in Sherry and Apera barrels for four years prior to being transferred into ex-Lark whisky barrels for a final six months. The gin was then bottled at a natural cask strength of 56.8%, allowing drinkers to discern their own desired amount of dilution.

The new collaboration gin botanical profile of juniper, coriander, cardamom, cassia, star anise, lavender, angelica, pepperberry, lemon myrtle, and orange and is brimming with notes of dark spices, preserved citrus, and malt. It has also already garnered significant global attention after it was awarded the title of top accolade of Master at the World Gin Masters awards.

“This remarkable gin shows rich Sherry, coffee cake and walnuts [and] soft vanilla notes,” said the judges.
