Ricky Gervais has become a co-owner of the Ellers Farm Distillery in Yorkshire, UK. The deal was announced by Gervais in a YouTube video recently, in which he recognises the harmful effects of alcohol but also the potential benefit to his bank account.

“I am thrilled to announce that I am now the proud co-owner of Ellers Farm Distillery,” said Gervais. “We make Dutch Barn Vodka. It tastes great, it’s made from British apples, we are committed to sustainability and the protection of the eco-system. And the best bit is, this could literally make me hundreds of millions. So please buy it.”

“Sure, like all strong Liqour it may damage your liver, and your well-being, but think how happy it will make me,” continued Gervais.

Gervais global audience will likely see the UK brands, which include the Dutch Barn Vodka, a number of liqueurs, a couple of gins and an English Single Malt Whisky, grow significantly.

The celebrity investment follows the 2022 cask programme collaboration with fellow Yorkshire business and iconic brewer, T&R Theakston, which saw the limited release of 38 casks of carbon neutral whisky.
